Terms and conditions

Welcome to our leisure facilities. These Terms and Conditions explain how you can use our services and facilities. Lampton Leisure Limited (Lampton Leisure) operates these facilities as an agent for the London Borough of Hounslow (LBH). All prices and major operational decisions are set by LBH.

Activity Bookings:

  • Members can book up to 7 days in advance for an activity.
  • Members should protect their password and login details as they will be accountable for any bookings made in their name, whether made by the actual member or not.
  • Lampton Leisure cannot be held responsible for any online bookings made incorrectly or in error by the member.
  • All online bookings will be confirmed by email, detailing any transactional information.
  • Non-attended bookings may result in a no-show charge.
  • Lampton Leisure reserves the right to cancel any bookings should there be a need.
  • You are booking a playing space, not a specific court. Lampton Leisure reserves the right to reallocate courts as needed.

Court Bookings:

  • Not all memberships include racquet sports so please check your membership package for eligibility.
  • Membership packages with a racquet sports allowance entitles members to 3 court bookings per week. Any bookings made after the allowance has been used up will require a payment at the standard non-member rate.
  • Non-member customers joining a racquet sports session, booked by a member, must pay the additional player charge.
  • Only one court per hour can be booked.
  • If the court is booked under a junior account, the junior must must be present at all times. Joining players must pay the additional payer fee unless they hold a valid membership.
  • Failure to swipe your card or check in at reception will result in a no-show charge on the account.
  • The booking holder must be present on the court at all times, bookings made on behalf of another person, or through a different account, will be cancelled.
  • For any misuse, Lampton reserves the right to suspend the account or remove racquet sports from it with immediate effect.

Court Booking Times:

• The booking time covers the period of use including up to 5 minutes setting up and up to 5 minutes clearing away of facilities relating to any booking to ensure that everyone has a chance to use the facilities there may be restrictions on the number of bookings each person is permitted to make for each day. Please see the relevant centre home site for any restrictions that may apply.
• The booking holder must check in within 10 minutes of the booking start time to avoid being marked as a no-show.
• Players cannot enter the court until the booking holder has checked in.

Cancelling A Booking:

  • Members can cancel a booking through the Lampton Leisure App or Website before 4 hours of the booking start time at no cost.
  • Members can also call the centre or email in request the cancellation of a session.
  • Bookings cancelled with less than 4-hour notice will result in a no-show charge.
  • Non-Attendance of Bookings and No-Show Charges:
  • A no-show fee of the full price of the booking will be applied to the members account if the booking is not cancelled before 4 hours of the session start time.
  • Failure to swipe your card through the turnstile or check-in at reception before the booking, will result in a no-show charge.
  • Members with multiple bookings must re-swipe their card or re-check in at reception if the next booking is over 3 hours from the initial swipe.
  • Booking onto an activity after swiping through the turnstile or at reception will require checking in again to mark attendance for the newly booked session.
  • A no-show charge on an account will result in payments being requested for any future bookings. Clearing the no-show charge will unlock the membership.
  • Booking and paying for sessions whilst the account has a no-show charge is at your discretion and payments may not be reimbursed.
  • If a no-show charge is claimed to be in error, please contact the Lampton Leisure site to discuss further.

Responsibility & Conduct:

  • The booking holder is responsible for assessing the court and equipment before play.
  • The booking holder is also responsible for the conduct of all players on their court.
  • It is the booking holder’s duty to inform all players of these terms and conditions.
  • Any debt incurred during the booking is the booking holder’s responsibility and will be added to their account. 

Events Beyond Our Reasonable Control

  • If we are delayed in or cannot provide access to our services and facilities due to events, circumstances or causes beyond our reasonable control, we will not be required to provide you with a refund/credit in respect of the period during which you cannot access our services or facilities.
  • We will, where reasonably possible, consider providing access to alternative Lampton Leisure but shall not be bound to do so.
  • For the avoidance of doubt, an epidemic or pandemic (including, but not limited to, the Covid-19 pandemic) shall be an event beyond our reasonable control.

Health and Safety

  • Your safety is our priority. When using our facilities:
    • Please follow all health and safety guidelines;
    • Always follow staff instructions;
    • only use our equipment and facilities for their intended purpose and in accordance with any instructions available; and
    • Ask our staff if you’re unsure about any safety procedures.
  • You should not exercise beyond your own abilities. If you know or are concerned that you have a medical condition that may interfere with your safe use of our services and facilities, you should seek medical advice from a relevant medical professional prior to using our services and facilities and follow advice provided.
  • You shall be responsible for any loss, damage or injury you suffer due to your failure to comply with our health and safety requirements, misuse of equipment or facilities or exercise beyond your abilities. We shall only be liable for personal injury or death caused by our negligence.

Lockers

Leisure Centre Facility Attire

  • Lampton Leisure users must ensure to dress appropriately depending on the chosen activity.
    • Studios: trainers only unless session requires no footwear.
  • For everyone’s comfort and safety, we require all users to follow our dress code. If you do not comply with the dress code, our staff may ask you to leave the premises. You can find our full dress code policy at reception.

Injury and Sickness

  • For everyone’s safety, you must not enter our facilities if you are under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances. If we believe you are under the influence, we will need to ask you to leave and may report serious incidents to relevant authorities.
  • For everyone’s health and safety, please do not visit our facilities if you are unwell. If you must visit while recovering from illness, please take extra care to thoroughly sanitize any equipment before and after use.

Photography and Filming

  • To protect everyone’s privacy and safety, photography and filming are not permitted infacilities or without prior approval. This includes:
    • Professional cameras;
    • Mobile phones; and
    • Drones
  • If you would like permission to film, please email lamptongroup.comms@lamptongroup.co.uk at least 2 weeks in advance. Anyone found filming without permission will be asked to stop and may be asked to leave the premises.

Law and Jurisdiction

  • These terms are governed by English law and wherever you live, disputes arising between us and you shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of English courts. 

Reformer Pilates Class Bookings

Activity Bookings

  • Members can book Reformer Pilates classes up to 14 days in advance.
  • Members are responsible for keeping their login details secure and are accountable for any bookings made under their account.
  • Lampton Leisure cannot be held responsible for incorrect or erroneous bookings made by members.
  • All bookings will be confirmed by email, including any transactional details.
  • Non-attendance may result in a no-show charge.
  • Lampton Leisure reserves the right to cancel or amend bookings where necessary.
  • You are booking a space in a Reformer Pilates class, not a specific reformer machine or position within the studio. Equipment allocation may be adjusted as required.

Reformer Pilates Class Bookings

  • Reformer Pilates is not included in all membership types.
  • Members are eligible discount on the packages.
  • Any bookings exceeding packages allowance may be charged at the standard rate.
  • Classes are subject to limited capacity due to equipment availability and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • The booking holder must attend the session. Bookings made on behalf of another individual may be cancelled and not be eligible for refund.
  • For safety and quality of instruction, participants must always follow instructor guidance.
  • Lampton Leisure reserves the right to suspend bookings or access for misuse or breach of these terms.

Class Attendance & Timings

  • Classes start promptly at the scheduled time. Late entry may not be permitted for safety and disruption reasons.
  • Participants are advised to arrive at least 5 minutes before the class start time to allow for setup and safety briefing.
  • Failure to check in at reception or via the system before the class may result in a no-show charge.
  • If you do not arrive within 10 minutes of the class start time, your space may be released to another participant.

Cancelling a Booking

  • Members can cancel a class via the Lampton Leisure App or website up to 4 hours before the class start time at no cost and usage will be credited.
  • Cancellations can also be made by contacting the centre directly.
  • Cancellations made within 4 hours of the class start time will incur a no-show charge.

Non-Attendance & No-Show Charges

  • A no-show fee equivalent to the full class price will be applied if the booking is not cancelled within the required notice period.
  • Failure to check in before the class will be treated as non-attendance.
  • Outstanding no-show charges may restrict future bookings until cleared.
  • If a no-show charge is believed to be applied in error, please contact the centre to review.

Health, Safety & Participation

  • Reformer Pilates involves specialised equipment and controlled movements. Participants must always follow all instructor guidance.
  • You should not participate beyond your physical ability. If you have any medical conditions, injuries, or are pregnant, you must seek medical advice before attending and inform the instructor prior to the class.
  • First-time participants may be required to attend an introductory session or induction before joining group classes.
  • Failure to follow safety instructions may result in removal from the session.

Responsibility & Conduct

  • Participants are responsible for using equipment correctly and safely.
  • Any damage caused through misuse may be charged to the participant.
  • Respectful behaviour towards staff and other participants is always expected.

Events Beyond Our Reasonable Control

  • If services cannot be provided due to circumstances beyond our control (including pandemics), refunds or credits may not be issued.
  • Alternative sessions or locations may be offered where reasonably possible but are not guaranteed.

Attire

  • Suitable activewear must be worn.
  • Grip socks are required.
  • No outdoor footwear is permitted in the studio.

Injury and Sickness

  • Do not attend classes if under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Do not attend if unwell. Participants should take appropriate hygiene precautions when using equipment.

Photography and Filming

  • Photography or filming is not permitted in classes without prior approval.
  • Unauthorised recording may result in removal from the premises.

HEALTH COMMITMENT STATEMENT

Your health is your responsibility. The management and staff of Lampton Leisure are dedicated to helping you take every opportunity to enjoy the facilities that we offer. With this in mind, we have carefully considered what we can reasonably expect of each other.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

We will respect your personal decisions and allow you to make your own decisions about what exercise you can carry out. However, we ask you not to exercise beyond what you consider to be your own abilities.

We will make every reasonable effort to make sure that our equipment and facilities are in a safe condition for you to use and enjoy.

We will take all reasonable steps to make sure that our staff are qualified to the fitness industry standards as set out by the register of exercise professionals.

If you tell us that you have a disability which puts you at a substantial disadvantage in accessing our equipment and facilities, we will consider what adjustments, if any, are reasonable for us to make.

YOUR COMMITMENT TO US

You should not exercise beyond your own abilities. If you know or are concerned that you have a medical condition which might interfere with you exercising safely, before you use our equipment and facilities you should get advice from a relevant medical professional and follow that advice.

You should ask a Lampton Leisure Colleague if there is any equipment which you are unsure how to use.

You should make yourself aware of any rules and instructions, including warning notices. Exercise carries its own risks. You should not carry out any activities which you have been told are not suitable for you.

You should let us know immediately if you feel ill when using our equipment or facilities. Our staff members are not qualified doctors, but there will be a person available who has had first-aid training.

If you have a disability, you must follow any reasonable instructions to allow you to exercise safely.

For completion by those aged 16 or over,

I confirm that I have read and understand the health Commitment Statement and I will only use equipment that I have been instructed to use.

These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time by LBH. We will notify you of any significant changes to these terms. Your continued use of our facilities after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms
