Lampton Leisure is committed to ensuring that this Equal Opportunities policy is both implemented and embedded for all learners. As an approved training centre, we consistently ensure that the training we provide is inclusive and accessible to all learners. All staff, consultants and volunteers are responsible for the implementation of this policy. We fully understand that all learners have the right to be treated with dignity and respect regardless of their age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, ethnicity, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation. We will not tolerate unfair treatment or unlawful discrimination, whether intentional or unintentional, direct, or indirect.

Policy

Our Equal Opportunities policy is in line with The Equality Act 2010 and we endeavour to take positive action to:

· Comply with current legislative requirements

· Deliver qualifications, support services and products which take into consideration the needs of all learners and do not unnecessarily discriminate against any individual or group

· Promote fair access to qualification and assessment delivery, minimising any barriers to access or assessment by implementing reasonable adjustments and special considerations policies

· Ensure that learning opportunities and fair assessment is open to all who will benefit without compromising the integrity of qualification delivery

· Monitor our qualifications, entry requirements and assessments to identify barriers to access or achievement, and remove or minimise unnecessary barriers or bias which could impact on individuals or groups

As a training centre we shall implement this policy through:

· Ensuring all staff, volunteers and learners have access to this information to assist them in planning, putting in to practice and monitoring their rights and responsibilities under this policy

· Providing support and relevant training / updates for all staff, learners and revising any policy or practice that could disadvantage individuals or groups

· Provision of regular CPD / updates for staff, and learners

OUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Lampton Leisure is committed to environmental sustainability and positively contributing to the local community environment that we serve. Our aim is to introduce, promote and enhance sustainable solutions within the centres we manage and within our business operations.

To consider systems that protect biodiversity and ecology and set achievable objectives and targets to reduce energy and water consumption, and carbon production.

We will do this through the implementation and review of the following objectives.

· Comply with all relevant environmental legislation

· Quantify and monitor the environmental impact of the business

· Minimise our carbon footprint through application of best practice and a proactive approach towards net zero

· Work with our partners and suppliers to reduce the environmental impact of our business

· Minimise the environmental impact of transport associated with our business

· Work with our customers to reduce their environmental impact when using our facilities

· Raise employee`s awareness of environmental issues and the impact they can have on reducing utility consumption and our carbon footprint

· Minimise waste produced from our activities through elimination, reduction, re-use and recycling

· Identify opportunities and undertake environmental and energy management initiatives on a regular basis

· Integrate environmental objectives into relevant business decisions in a cost-efficient manner

Working Towards Net Zero Buildings and Facilities

We are working with our local authority partner, The London Borough of Hounslow, to reduce the environmental impact of our operations. This is a long-term strategy necessitating the need for more efficient buildings, efficient plant and equipment.

We will do this by:

· Engaging with London Borough of Hounslow to seek funding through the Government’s Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) and implementation of specific projects

· Optimisation of building plant and equipment through smart building technology projects

· Ensuring centres are powered by renewable energy tariffs

· Engagement with managers and staff through training in carbon literacy and environmental issues

Our People Will 

· Carry out tasks in an environmental and energy efficient way to reduce operational waste and costs

· Actively participate in training to ensure awareness of company environmental policy and to apply knowledge when carrying out duties to achieve delivery of company objectives and energy targets

· Report any situations, suggestions or customer feedback to improve day to day environmental and energy management performance within our centres
